Motherhood - the most exhilarating roller coaster ride of my life, where the highs are sky-touching and the lows... well, let's just say they involve a lot of cleaning up. As an Indian mom, I've embraced the chaos with a bindi of bravery and a sari of strength. So, grab your chai and let's share a laugh over the things we learned by becoming a mom.
I go first:
Remember those days when "sleeping in" meant noon? Those were cute. Now, 7 AM is the new luxury. If the kids sleep till 8, I'm throwing a party. In my head.
Before kids, I thought multitasking was a skill listed on my resume. Now? It's my superpower. I can simultaneously cook a meal, help with homework, and negotiate peace treaties between warring toddler factions.
Who needs a gym membership when you have a toddler who refuses to walk? Carrying a 30-pound human while grocery shopping should be an Olympic sport.
Now your turn! Jump in and let's share a piece of wisdom and a laugh!
Haha I agree on all points!
I surprised myself with how little sleep a person can have and still function (sort of). I’m talking about the baby night feeding (and doing it alone)
Barely 😂
Scraped knees, bumped heads, or a broken toy, 'Mommy's kiss' is the mystical cure-all. I'm considering bottling it up and selling it – I'd make a fortune!
There's a point in motherhood when you realize you've listened to 'Baby Shark' more times than you've had hot meals. And that's when you start questioning your life choices
Kids say the darnedest things, don't they? Like the time my little one announced to the entire grocery store that mommy has a "jiggly bum." Thanks, kiddo.
The first time your child says "I love you," it's like all the sleepless nights and diaper disasters fade away. And suddenly, you're ready to do it all over again 😉
Motherhood has taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of a good sense of humor. 😁
You become a ninja! I learned to walk so quietly and even avoid most of the lego pieces that are strategically placed on the floor to mercilessly pierce my feet at night when I wake up to use the restroom
I learned that small kids small problems, big kids big problems
I also like the quote by Julia Roberts: “Usually, the triumph of my day is, you know, everybody making it to the potty”
Your bag is no longer your own. It's now a survival kit filled with toys, snacks and an assortment of items you never thought you'd carry around, like a collection of rocks from the playground "because they're special"
You will become expert in things you never thought that you need to know, like the names of every dinosaur 😆
You will also do lots of DIY 😆
